About Me
I am a multidisciplinary artist whose practice focuses on creating space and time for unheard or unseen narratives. With a background in theatre and a master’s degree in Live Art and Performance Studies, I often describe my works as live art events that combine Performance Art , Visual Art, Community Art, and Writing.
For me, art is a space for reimagining, a way to question what feels fixed and to open up new possibilities for change. I believe art belongs to the public, and I aim to create works that are both playful and meaningful, encouraging participation and shared reflection.
I often work with moving images, sound, and text, and I am interested in archives and documentary materials as ways to challenge dominant narratives. I value collaboration deeply and often invite other artists and designers into a non-hierarchical creative process. I usually set a clear structure and shared goals, while allowing flexibility for everyone’s perspectives to shape the outcome. For me, collaboration is about inclusion and the richness that comes from different artistic voices.
Audience engagement is a central part of my work. I often design my projects with interaction in mind, drawing on my theatre background and my interest in the relationship between audience and artwork.
My questions are: What can arts do to reconstruct socio-political structures, moving away from authoritarian narratives and towards marginal voices and subjectivities, to create entirely new universes of reference?
I often work with archives and documentary materials, pushing the boundaries of fictional writing. I use personal and marginal narratives as tools for over-identification, and frequently constructs simulations of Finnish cultural life to uncover spaces where audiences are encouraged to question rather than accept social norms.
